Abstract:
We report a novel post synthesis self-assembly technique that transforms the trillion of carbon nanotubes into a robust, flexible and binder-free membrane and demonstrate its application in designing flexible bipolar solid state supercapacitor with high temperature stability (>85oC), excellent cyclability (> 10,000 cycles), good energy (~100%) and coulombic (~94%,) efficiencies and cycling voltage of 3V. The fabrication methodologies of the individual components are very attractive for a manufacturing scale-up process.
