Noble nanoparticles were fabricated on glucose powder by NPP process, in which nanoparticles were formed on the rotating powder in barrel by using conventional PVD system. A 500 um glucose powders were selected as the rotating powders for the nanoparticle formation and stirring speed of blade was controlled 10 to 50 rpm by DC motor. Paddle type blades which have 0.5 , 1.5 and 3.0 cm height were used for stirring powder. Particle’s size, size distribution and concentration were observed by HR-TEM and ICP-AES and Ag, Au and Pt nanoparticles have 10~15 nm, 5~10 nm and 2~3 nm, respectively, by changing mixing condition. Clear yellow, violet and black colors of the Ag, Au and Pt nanoparticles on the powder in solid state and in colloid solution of water are exposed due to the plasmon effect. As the rotation speed of blade was faster and the weight of filled powder was heavier, average nanoparticle’s sizes were smaller. Size uniformity of the particles was fine in higher height blade than that in low height blade. These variables were related to exposure time in deposition zone, and shorter exposure time to deposition zone was resulted in fine and well-distributed nanoparticles.
