we demonstrate that the 2D-SRGs structures can be fabricated easier and faster by using pulsed laser with two-stage instantaneous writing. The structures of 2D-SRGs fabricated with the interface of nematic liquid crystals become more perfect and the depth of surface relief structure were about 2~3 times larger comparing with that of 2D-SRGs without the interface of nematic liquid crystals. As the angle between two stages of writing increases, the first-order diffraction efficiency and the depth of SRGs in the second writing become smaller for the writing beams with S-polarization, but become larger for the writing beams with P-polarization. This result indicated that the relationship between the polarization of writing beams and the orientation of nematic liquid crystals molecular made a significant influence on the diffraction efficiency and the depth of SRGs. The polarization of writing beams were parallel to the direction of nematic liquid crystals led to the larger surface modulation of surface relief structures than perpendicular to the direction of nematic liquid crystals.
