We present the results of our recent findings that the introduction of apatite nanoparticles (~10 nm) in a classical phage-bacteria infection scenario increases the efficacy of the phage infection as investigated through plaque formation. The increase (10-12 %) was statistically significant and confirmed with 3 different phage-bacteria infection experiments. This finding warrants further investigation due to its far reaching impact on our ecosystem and corresponding down-stream relationships.
