With a view to study the influence of nano size on various physical properties in general and ferromagnetic properties in particular, a series of oxide based diluted magnetic semiconductors were prepared by chemical routes such as sol- gel, PVA precursor, Hydrothermal etc; In the process the nano size of these materials is fine tuned such that they become better materials for possible storage, spintronic, magneto–optic, piezoelectric device, transparent electrode etc; applications. Results of such an investigation are presented in this paper.
