A pulsed thermal reactor process was developed to produce nano particles on an industrial scale. Different precursors were applied to obtain the desired product properties. The applied techniques (pulsation reactor) are explained and different applications of the pulsation reactor are described. Physio-chemical characteristics of the fabricated nano oxide powders such as morphology, specific surface area, size distribution and phase identification were investigated and tabulated.
The presented results show the flexibility of the production of nano metal oxide particles such as, Al2O3, TiO2, ZnO, SiO2 and ZrO2 as well as mixed oxide powders as BaTiO2, aluminium silicate (mullit) and magnesium aluminate (spinal).
It is shown how the specific product properties can be varied according to the desired application by changing the parameters of the pulsation reactor technique.
