This abstract describes a microfluidic platform for simple, highly effective and parallel Enzyme Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay (ELISA). The method is based on the use of magnetic micro-beads in order to increase the capture rate of the analyte in stop-flow conditions and create an internal mixing. The enzymatic amplification of the fluorescent signal contributes to increase the sensitivity of protein detection in an immunoassay similar to conventional ELISA. Additionally, the design allows readily performing parallel measurements.
