Abstract:
We report for the first time on the optical detection of a periodical mechanical interaction between conducting macro-bodies induced by the periodical Casimir force. The influence of conductivity on the Casimir force has been analysed. The presented theory of alternatig Casimir force is in a good agreement with the experimental results. The possible practical applications will be presented and discussed.
