From all the experiments carried above, Photonic crystal, so far has shown to have a very promising future and it is assumed that in the next decades new technologies would be seen. It is estimated that within the next five years a number of basic applications such as bright LEDs, highly efficient photonic-crystal lasers, photonic nanocrystal 'diodes' and 'transistors will appear in the market-place.
