The main problem with the current process is the contamination of the water or moister which is accompanied by the colloidal solution. In our process we have eliminated the water contamination completely by using the ethanol and one step process. In the earlier process (U.S. Army uses) they start with the colloidal solution of silica and exchange the water gradually with the polyethylene glycol which is time consuming and difficult to avoid the water contamination. The other advantage of our process is the shear thickening effect stats earlier than the existing process.
