The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and FORTUNE are the creators of the annual Inner City 100 List, Which is now in its 15th year. According to the release, “The Inner City 100 program recognizes successful inner city companies and their CEOs as role models for entrepreneurship, innovative business practices and job creation in America’s urban communities. To qualify for the Inner City 100 list, companies must meet certain criteria, including 51 percent of their operations located in an economically distressed urban area; 10 or more full-time employees; and minimum sales revenues.
